First they force everyone on a microshit account, then ban you from your own server for drinking a beer...

Check out Minetest if you're looking to switch. 100% open source Minecraft clone. Available on every major OS including Linux and BSD. Supports local single player and multiplayer servers, creative and survival modes, a thriving mod and addon community, written in C++ as opposed to Java. The only real things it doesn't have are the trademarked Minecraft assets, like Creepers, Ender whatevers, the Nether, etc, only because they're literally not allowed to have those.

The source code is copyleft too! (It's licensed under the LGPL.^[License of Minetest source code, LICENSE.txt]

It's a shame that they use Git~~Hub~~Trash, which is particularly worrying since Microsoft owns Minecraft.
