Trying home remedies and some heat

Enjoying the Foundation TV series (Jared Harris is such a great actor)

You gotta take it easy when choking kids out for lunch money at BJJ bro.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Fuck them kids. They know the rules of the mat

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

this made me spit beer on my keyboard, lol thanks

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Not the Oettinger!!!

I'm having a Monsuta without spitting

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

hahah there's just over half a carton in the fridge, besides, essence of beer in the keyboard makes my den smell authentic lol

I’m having a Monsuta without spitting Impressive! Though they're not so bad if you have already had a few (but true for most beers lol)

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The worst European beers are still on par with most Aussie ones

And the best beer out there is the one that you like anyway 😁

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Exactly, love an oettinger; i can be poor but still have my homelands product. and it all tastes better than VB so we're all winning

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Du bist Deutscher? Wunderbar!!

I'm not (well...kind of but not really) but have a deep appreciation for the country

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Half-german, half aussie. can read german well, but speaking and writing is shithouse I may as well be a smol babi

I was actually looking to get a citizenship at some point, but I'd have to give up my aussie one (there's more to why that is, but I dont want to dox myself more than once tonight lol)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Dual citizenships are handy.

I'm hoping for a third but would be difficult.

I have Family that's from Germany and eastern Europe but not sure its enough to get a passport.

Fisiocrem.... As mentioned earlier. I have ongoing back, neck and shoulder issues on account of thinking I could do things in trees that I could in fact not do. It's consistently my jam for flare ups.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Would it work for feet? Mine ache so badly after a day of walking through uneven parkland

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago

I would imagine it would.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I applied some earlier actually.

And got my back taped up too.

This happens every few months, so I know how to manage it. Just part of getting old

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Just part of getting old

Totally. My last big neck flare up was on account of me twisting whilst doing my teeth for godsakes....

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Hahaha...that's a laugh of understanding and sympathy.

There's weeks that I can train for hours and keep up with athletic blokes half my age.

Then there's weeks like this one where the slightest movement results in agony and debilitation

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

My current favourite is the random injury pain somewhere when just taking a breath. Good times.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

I flared up my siatica once, just getting out of bed.

4 moths of recovery that was.

Yay!!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Oh god, I got tickled once and was out for weeks 😅

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Any good? I just finished silo and was a bit let down. Tempted to try foundation now there’s 2 seasons.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's not bad. I'm 2 eps in.

Slow burn, kind of like The Expanse in a way.

Helps if you've read the books as there's not a heap of exposition.

I'm digging it.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You had me at like the expanse!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Jared Harris was in both 😊

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That’s right! He was Dawes wasn’t he? Loved him in Chernobyl too.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

He was Dawes and the main dude in Chernobyl.

Also Moriarty in the Rituchie Sherlock movies

Old mate gets around

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I've been getting through Mad Men and Jared Harris is delightful. I really couldn't believe he was that dude in The Expanse (who will always remain weirdly South African in my mind)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

Anderson Dawes was the name and yeah had total Afrikaner vibes in the expanse

Can't say what a Belter accent would be, but I'm going with his
