But beware, it doesn't stop you from getting locked into a room with no way out. For example, if you get to the GFMC Compound in Prime 2 but don't have any items to get out, you're stuck, since you need the space jump or power bombs to backtrack.

Oh that's neat! I've played Prime 1 before so if I fancy playing it again I'll try this out. Prime 2 and 3 I've never played (well, I did get a little ways into 3 on Wii years back - but I'm planning to start from scratch). Thank goodness for Primehack!
