Ridge Racer 64 looks fun, I don't remember if I played it back in the 64 era, I'll definitely check it out on NSO.

Maybe more remakes? The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD remasters have been rumoured for years. Nintendo could have one last big game for Switch to say goodbye. We'll see...

Lives in DKC Returns HD are super cheap. I have over 30 lives, so I haven't discovered what happens when you lose them all yet.

There's a new rumour about a Nintendo Switch 1 exclusive Direct in February, maybe they'll shadowdrop the remasters for Prime 2 and 3 then!

I think the difficulty is maybe a bit higher in Returns HD? I'm not sure. I've only been in one mining cart scene and it was quite stressful but I managed. I always go for the K O N G letters in every stage (not the puzzle pieces though) which makes it harder than just trying to get through it. It has a modern mode which apparently gives you extra lives and can't remember what else. If it's there, I use it, I'm not bothered to play on a more difficult setting just for the sake of it, and I don't have the patience for it anymore. It's getting harder as I advance, but I would have to go back and play some original DKC to compare it properly.

I keep playing Pokémon Omega Ruby here and there. I beat the 8 Gym leaders and am on Victory Road.

I went back to Metroid Prime 2: Echoes on the Game Cube this week. It's fun, same stuff as the first one so far but with a different story. My left hand has been getting cramps when playing this game for too long, I might have to get a modern controller for Game Cube! 👴

I also started Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on the Switch yesterday. I originally got this game on the Wii, but the forced motion controls made me rage quit. Such an unnecessary gimmick... I am enjoying it now with normal controllers, it's really fun and it looks great!

I realized I'm playing two games by Retro Studios! At least originally in the case of DKC... Both games have been a bit of a problem for me. When I am playing DKC I think "one more stage and I'm off" and in Metroid it's "one more save point" and I end up playing for too long 😅

This article is based on speculation by two NOA former employees. While they do have context and knowledge (and I personally listen to the podcast), they left the company 2 years ago. Their videos have click-baity titles since that's the YouTube game, but the article title is even worse. We can assume they're mad. But there's still a chance the successor to the Switch is nothing like what's been "leaked" and they're laughing their asses off behind the scenes.

Hope you're feeling better!

I'm still playing Pokémon Omega Ruby on my 3DS. I have 7 gym badges and currently going through the legendary Pokémon arc.

I mentioned playing Mega Man 7 last time, I beat all the initial bosses except for Turbo Man. The stage was really frustrating, I didn't even reach Turbo Man, so I stopped and will come back to it later. I will probably play other Mega Man titles from the collections on Switch.

I've seen this too, some people will never be happy, whether they get what they asked for or the complete opposite... 😅

I've been avoiding paying too much attention to leaks too, but I think we're not really missing out. They all seem to be "It's a bigger, more powerful Switch".

Yeah, I saw a meme about everyone asking for a reveal and Nintendo throwing out random stuff like Nintendo Music, Alarmo and now Lego Game Boy 😆

It makes sense as publicity. Personally I wasn't aware this brand even existing until now. I bet I'm not the only one.

I think a lot of companies are assuming they know what the succesor of the Switch is based on the leaks. But as I said in a previous post, until Nintendo shows something, it's all speculation and rumors.

It can also be that Nintendo gave fake prototypes to companies to find out which one is leaking information.

Nintendo could reveal anything, it could be completely different from the Switch (which would be hilarious). I remember the NX times when leaks were coming out here and there, and they were absolutely ridiculous compared to what the Switch actually is. It's more about being first than being right these days with information 🤷‍♂️
