Recently started watching the sci-fi mystery Pluto... (lemmy.world)

...And it's really good. It's only on Netflix, unfortunately, but if you're subscribed and have been after a sci-fi mystery to check out, I highly recommend it.

I've not watched it all yet (only to episode 3), so I'd prefer no spoilers (or keep them in spoiler tags), as so far it's been a delight.

I'd almost dismissed the show based off the sort of banner ads Netflix chose to run for it, until it finally showed some different image that caught my eye and got me to read the description. Turns out it's a kind of murder mystery amidst a society where humans and highly advanced robots are trying to coexist, but the murders are adding more strain to their already fraught relationship.

One aggravation I have with Netflix, (there are a few), are the descriptions. Half the time they do not even tell you anything helpful, just something about whatever awards if any, or an irrelevant line that does not help you determine what it is about.

Awards or notable individuals involved in it, or just a poor description, yeah. Thankfully this time it let me see a description that was decent enough to catch my interest.

I've seen an article about this show but haven't seen much chatter on it, which is a bummer. I'm hoping it's more to do with choosing less popular social channels than that the show isn't being seen.
