Yeah that's getting deleted and never brought up by mainstream media again.

"aaaaaaand into the hole with that one!"

A Memory Hole.

Ironic that an anticommunist novel can be so perfectly applied to capitalism. Communism, not so much, unless you count Orwell's fantasy ideology that doesn't actually exist.

Bruh imagine witnessing a revolution that has transformed an industrial backwater into a Union capable of defeating the Nazi onslaught (where your monstrous empire of birth is unable to fight at the moment) in your lifetime and then having your British "sensibilities" kick in and write a book about how bad it is while your country still owns INDIA MOTHERFUCKER.

It just fuckin' blows my mind sometimes that Orwell wrote 1984 at a time when the SU was the only ones fighting the Nazis in direct combat. Makes you wonder who he preferred, really.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Wait, Orwell like the guy who wrote about the horrible dystopian nature of the Soviet Union and how totalitarianism is propped up by state propaganda while he spent his time working for the irl British version of the Ministry of Truth and who snitched on socialists who were "anti-white" and "possible homosexuals" to the British government?

The same guy who explained that Europe was a powderkeg around the time of the Spanish Civil War and that the Catalonian armed forces had abysmal training and discipline but that Stalin was "inscrutable" for not wanting to continue throwing materiel at a situation that was openly hostile to the USSR version of socialism and for not wanting to escalate the Spanish Civil War into a regional European war or even a world war because the USSR was still rebuilding from a disastrous world war and an equally disastrous "civil" war/proxy war?

That George Orwell??

the very same

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

He was employed as a propagandist for the BBC.

And that's not "all of BBC is prppaganda" snark either, his job was LITERALLY to make propaganda!

Liberals gonna liberal

I can't find any source on that tweet

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The source is linked in the thread. Here's the video that aired on the news https://twitter.com/Egitaniense/status/1512813737580941315

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This is the video of the serial number. Which source link this number to Ukrainian army?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Which aren't source. Tweets, posts, telegrams, etc. claiming something aren't sources

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

What you presumably mean by sources is western mainstream news, and then when western mainstream doesn't report on it any other sources have to be discarded. Seems rather convenient.

The fact is that Russia decommissioned tochka-u in 2019, but Ukrainian military still has them in use. Ukraine originally claimed it was an iskander missile, which Russia uses. They have since admitted that it is in fact a tochka-u.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

These tweets include pictures, documents, links to other sources, etc. How can a tweet not be a source when it contains first hand evidence? It has to be posted somewhere...

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Obviously the twitter poster is an expert on tracing back missiles

Didn't you read their bio?

"hunter & gatherer, digger & diver. Stretched between China and Italy, I wear an old ushanka."

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Imagine the embarrassment you could've saved yourself if you only bothered to read through the thread before commenting. Multiple sources are linked there. Here's an actual video that aired on the news:

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The source we search is the one who linked the serial number to Ukrainian army, not the video of the serial number itself

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That site is exhausting. For one piece of good information we need to navigate blatant misinformation.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Such is life. And research in general.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago
[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago

where's your proof?

[–] [email protected] -2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

https://voxnews.info/2022/04/09/kramatorsk-missile-che-ha-fatto-strage-e-ucraino-la-prova-inconfutabile-foto/ its something, but IDK, photos are too vague. Still wouldn't be surprised at all if it was those nazi scum.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Voxnews is a known fake news publisher

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

yep, have you seen their north korea stuff? just leave them alone

[–] [email protected] -2 points 2 years ago (4 children)

I can confirm that website is known to spread misinformation. I have seen the OP defending Russian propaganda in other posts. I don't know what is his/her aim but i just hope that some action will be taken. My only worry is if he/she is really a pro Putin fanatic instead of just a troll. That would make me even more sad for such person.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

Just use "they"

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

bruh you know your side has so much fucking propaganda that Goebbels would have an orgasm

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I've stated on many occasions that I don't think the invasion was in any way justifiable, and I'm certainly no fan of Putin. That said, it's pretty clear to me that there is a ton of misinformation about the war in western media. Dismissing things you don't like as Russian propaganda makes you yourself a propagandist who is unwilling to engage in honest discourse about the situation. I just hope some action will be taken against such people.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I just hope some action will be taken against such people.

So, basically, people like you.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago

I'm not the one calling anything that doesn't fit my preconceptions western propaganda.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Go the fuck back to reddit with this bullshit

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 years ago

Where is the proof of the trace back?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago (3 children)

There could be a million reasons for that, maybe they captured the missile?

Are you saying that Ukraine attacked the train station? If so I would like some proof please.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

the military is mostly nazi scum, and the same ones used child soldiers and shelled their own people multiple times. Nazis use these tactics for propaganda and a fake moral high ground all the time.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 years ago

A missile that is actively used by Ukraine and has been phased out from use by Russia back in 2019 hit the train station. The serial number on the missile traces it back to Ukraine. It's up to people claiming that Ukraine didn't fire the missile to show proof of that and not the other way around.
