They can't afford anything, yet they send the baker on an international trip to learn molecular gastronomy?! He's gonna end up just making a dish his mom used to make anyway instead of anything fancy.

They mentioned that they had a lot of credit card miles to pay for the flights; and then it seemed like Carmy called in some favors of where to stay and shadow.

After watching fishes too, Carmy describes the exact same boat. He definitely pulled in some favours. I also wonder if the chef will poulters character talks about was actually Carmy.
