Remapping keyboard on C64 core? (kbin.social)

I want to play with the C64 core, but I have an ordinary PC keyboard plugged into the MiSTer, and it is incredibly hard to find the right keys for things like the double quote.

Is there some obscure file I can write to remap the keyboard just for the C64 core?

I don't necessarily want to change the global MiSTer keymap because I also want to use other computer cores, and switching the keymap back and forth is going to get old quickly.

I am not sure that this is currently a feature of the C64 core. I would try to ask the developers of the core here to see if this can be addressed for you.

Let me know if you find a solution to this! I spent some time digging around the core and didn't find anything like this.

I'd love to get my hands on a mechanical usb C64 keyboard... would be awesome, especially if it was also usable with a real C64.
