On Canada Day, the country's largest health-care plan switched providers to Canada Life from Sun Life, transferring 1.7 million federal public servants, retirees and their dependents. Many say the transition has been anything but smooth.

Yup! It sucks horribly. Sun Life was bad, Canada Life is worse. Your dental claims are now reviewed and denied or accepted by one of THEIR dentists. I am told that a patch job on my tooth is sufficient, even though the dentist laughed and said it won't last but a couple of months. My dentist provided pictures, and files to support a root canal which is definitely needed (the patch keeps the tooth together, but it's constantly painful chewing) ; Canada Life denied it because their dentist "didn't think it was necessary". Canada Life is CANCER! Now my wife's drugs are not covered even though she's listed as a dependent on the drug plan. Also, I can't contact them because they shut down their phone lines due to "volume".
