I’m a few year out from building a semi-dedicated home theatre with a wet bar and “mancave” feel for hanging out with friends. As much as I would love to build one now I have other priorities financially right now. I do however love this hobby and spend a fair bit of time researching but still have lots to learn.

I was looking into JTR speakers, specifically, the 210HTs and 210RMs and it got me thinking about compression drivers. The RMs include a coaxial compression driver instead of just a compression driver in the HTs. Obviously this adds a more detailed sound especially at the crossover ranges. How much of a difference does a coaxial compression driver make? Does it justify the extra $1,000?
