Some friends of mine are wanting to get a projector for a home theater that they can also use for a golf simulator. I really don't know much about those. I know they make special projectors, but are those required? Also what do you connect to the projector that actually runs the game?

They said their budget is like $2k which is nothing, that's a good 4k projector and screen realistically so I'm not sure if we'll be able to make anything work

Looking for some suggestions ideas on how to go about this
