From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Wow, this looks really awesome, I hope it thrives because I would really love to see something like this.

On Reddit they were basically saying fuck you to the developer because there are other OS that are designed for tablets, jesus christ that place is so full of shit.

yeah I discovered this os from that thread and was disappointed in the people in the comments trashing it for garbage reasons.

Guessing from what they write on their website (source-code not yet available), this is a re-skin of Plasma Mobile. They say something about moving to their own system later on, but I guess that is just a way of saying that they will fork Plasma Mobile.

It looks really nice. I also heard they had a tablet they were going to ship it with which is exciting.

Very interesting! Mobile-centric operating systems that isn't Android (which doesn't share most of the values of normal Linux distros) has been missing from the Linux scene until recently.
