The Blue Jays now have 4 wins and 4 losses since the all-star break, sweeping the D-Backs in a 3-game series at home, taking 1 of 3 from the Padres at home, and now losing 2 consecutive games at the Mariner's ballpark, aka ~~SkyDome West~~ Tropicana Field West.

Many, including myself, thought the Jays going 3 and 3 on this 6-game West Coast road trip would be decent. It will be very unlikely that we sweep the Dodgers at their ballpark, so we have to avoid getting swept by the Ms to keep the 3-3 dream alive.

Alek Manoah starts on the bump for the Blue Birds today. In his last start against the Padres, and 2nd since coming back from the minors, he threw 92 pitches for 3.0 IP, giving up 4 ER and 5 BB. He was on 10 days rest for that start. He's on the usual 5 days rest today.

Per Sho Alli on the Blue Jays Pregame radio show today, Nate Pearson was optioned to the minors and Génesis Cabrera was called up. I'd like to see more opportunities for Jay Jackson too

It didn't go the Jays' way, but a bases loaded 1-2-3 GIDP is some sweet baseball. I effin hope Jano's okay after taking that pitch on his wrist!
