In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.

Some Rules

Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
Don't promote proprietary software
Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

The search results seem to be pretty good but there doesn't seem to be a lot info about it online.

IMO if it's not libre I prefer to keep using DDG, StartPage or whatever, since at least their products are more or less finished, otherwise the only projects that are worthwhile (besides SearX but it doesn't work that well) that I know of are YaCy and Infinity Search, I would support one of those two.

Try MetaGer. For SearX try to configure the engines and enable the option to proxy images (that will make image search work in nearly every case).
