From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I've been using KDE's built-in VPN client on Linux, but I just now realized that whenever websites connect through IPv6, it's not routed through the VPN. Is there an open source VPN client for Linux with support for OpenVPN or Wireguard configuration files that doesn't leak your real IP through IPv6, or am I better off disabling IPv6 connectivity entirely?

If you use something like mullvad it gives you an ipv6 address on the vpn. Using the wireguard client and then going to something like browserleaks.com or mullvad.net/check it will show your ipv6 correctly in your selected location.

How are you testing the leak?
