Welp, looks like now I'm never buying a Tesla or a Rivian. Between these kinds of shenanigans and the surveillance, I'll have to build my own EV to avoid it all...

Anyone remember when Intel used to take perfectly good 3-4 core CPUs and turned them into dual cores? If you were lucky you’d end up with a perfectly good quad core for a fraction of the price, after the unlock.

I think the future looks a bit like the past.
