A set limited number of sick days? What happens if you go over the allowed amount?

You use your vacation time or get on short term disability if it's more severe. Or you don't have those options and you call out anyways without pay. And also risk your job because a lot of companies won't allow unpaid time off.

I’m curious whether this comic was made by an American.

I’m a Canadian living in the UK. Both countries known for free healthcare. Both countries have struggling healthcare systems with doctor shortages, inability to get appointments, and inability to get medication. It depends where in the country you are, but there are some real problems going on over here as well.

A lot of people gong private because that’s the only way you can sometimes do things.

Still not as messed up as in the US.
