Sure the city could increase enforcement, but in my mind this is a symptom of our nimby city underbuilding for decades. We've seen it in housing but this demand shows the problem exists in other areas like hotels too. When will we get a municipal government that actually delivers?

Airbnb's problem is that it socializes the cost of short-term housing, not that it's removing housing supply.
While it is removing housing supply, that's a problem of underbuilding (as you mentioned).
I assume that’s “made” before any expenses and taxes? Because that’s the way these clickbaity articles work.
