too little because the jurors refused to accept that it had anything to do with civil rights and too late because they end up giving up on the civil rights charges after three attempts just to get a conviction.

i think that this is a manifestation of american attitudes that explain why trump still has a chance despite all the asshatery he's done and why kamala has been flawless in comparison, but projected to lose anyways.
