it's wild to me how ukranians are balking at this despite being at war; but it's 100% a-okay for us americans.

US isn't doing conscription though, back during Vietnam invasion people weren't cool with the draft either. The Ukrainian regime is resisting because they know it might actually be the final straw that topples them.

I mean, we haven't had a draft in a long time. If we did there would be many people, including me, very much not a-okay with it, even though I'm likely over the age they would draft.
