I saw a crap ton of fire ant nests on my walk today. Most excited I have been to report something in a while.

Are the ants making a comeback??? How long ago was the big effort from the council to yeet them?? 20 something years back from memory???

I don't think I have been living here long enough to even remember the local council doing anything about the ants.

I bought a 3D printer. I don't really know why, but it'll be here "by Christmas" and so that means it's a Christmas present. To me. From me.

Thanks, me.

A Bambu A1 Mini, apparently they are good?

Ah nice!! I have a a1 in the collection, and honestly, bambu stuff for the price is goddam insanely good. Thing is so accurate and you just don't need to faff with it, which is awesome, and their whole maker world community thing is very nice.

So yeah perfect choice to get into it all!

Yessir!

I actually meant to buy the A1 but ended up with the Mini because apparently i can't read.

Looks like the only difference is a 250mm³ build space versus 180mm³ so I'll give it a whirl first and if it ends up being restrictive I'll upgrade.

$300 cheaper for the Mini combo so easier to justify to the wife
