Because criticism of Israel is antisemitism apparently. That and they don't want it to happen to them.

Who's gonna say anything? All the journalists are dead!

Two-thirds of all time global journalist deaths, or two-thirds of global journalist deaths this year?

Both alternatives are horrendous of course, but it is unclear which it is.

I don't wanna sound like a conspiracy theorist saying the Jews control the media, but apparently they do.

Because world is the Reddit arm of Lemmy and Reddit is extremely pro communism. China may not legally own any part of Reddit (anymore?), but they're still calling shots. Ignore world for your sanity, it's a carefully constructed plastic garden.

Setting aside some of those wrong assumptions about Reddit being pro communism, what does being pro communism have to do with ignoring Israel's murder of journalists?

Not to be to crass here or put too fine a point on it, but Israel is America's, "kill brown people solution," in cent'com. The more money the gubment provides, the more brown people they kill. Occupation is irrelevant, but certainly, in this case, a factor since they are attempting to shine a light on the genocide. Sucks a whole lot.

I truly don't think the US government has a negative opinion of the Palestinian people. Since the victims are not political allies, it's not party of the equation when it comes to supporting Israel no matter what. It's apathy toward suffering but not hatred due to ethnicity.
