The world's richest man, Elon Musk, has sparked speculation after changing his name on his social media platform X to "Kekius Maximus".

The tech mogul - and close confidant of US President-Elect Donald Trump - offered no immediate explanation for the name or his new profile image which depicts the character Pepe the Frog - a meme that has been used by far-right groups.

The move has sent ripples through the cryptocurrency world, sending the value of a memecoin - a digital currency inspired by internet memes - that shares the same name skyrocketing.

In the past, Mr Musk has influenced crypto prices with his social media commentary, but it was not immediately clear if he had any involvement in this particular memecoin.

He literally changes his name to stupid shit all the time. He thinks its hilarious, much like all the other things he thinks he's doing in the name of comedy and is wrong about.

It was "Harry Bolz" soon after he bought Twitter. See? Hilarious.

Dude thinks he's cool but he's still using lame WoW jargon from 2007. He should go by Skibidi Toilet Doodoohead Boi 69 if he wants to stay relevant.

He is the worst kind of autistic.

Please do not call him autistic. There is no evidence he is anything but self-diagnosed and he uses it as a shield for his asshole behavior.

Being autistic does not make you an asshole and it is not license to be an asshole.

On top of that, he "revealed" he had Asperger Syndrome in 2021, which is interesting since it hasn't been a thing since the publication of the DSM-5 in 2013

I'm autistic, and have met many autistic people throughout my life. Our most consistent trait, as a group, is our unwavering empathy and dedication to our individual code of ethics. We're not people that can typically allow or stay in a scenario where we, or others, are being abused. Not to say every autistic person is a saint or that there are no autistic assholes out there. I just believe that, given my personal experience, it's extremely unlikely a man as evil as Elon could be autistic. Also, the way he seems to live his life, in general, just seems to be counter-intuitive to everything I have come to understand is essential to living a healthy, satisfactory life as an autistic person. We are all capable of different things but, my point is; IMHO, if he were autistic, given his behavior, speech, lifestyle, and overall presentation to the world, he would be such an anomoly, if he were autistic, that it is far more simple to conclude that he's lying about being autistic to justify him being an asshole.
