"Obecna sytuacja" jest wykorzystywana do pogorszenia możliwości przemieszczania się i do zwiększania nadzoru nad ludźmi. Uderza to szczególnie w "nielegalnych migrantów" oraz w osoby z pogranicza legalności.

Grupa przewidziana do wymiany informacji na temat praktyk granicznego imperializmu Fortress Europe, ruchów migracyjnych i ruchu wsparcia dla tychże.

STOP CRIMINALIZATION OF SOLIDARITY The humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border has been ongoing since mid-2021. Since then, more than 22,500 calls for assistance have been received, nearly 10,900 push-backs have been registered and 87 people have been documented to have lost their lives*. At the same time, in January 2025, five people will face a criminal trial in the city of Hajnówka for providing humanitarian aid. They face up to five years in prison. The charges brought against the Five sound absurd. According to the prosecution, their ‘crime’ was to provide food and clothing and to transport a family of nine Iraqi Kurds and an Egyptian citizen ‘deep into the country’, which literally means driving them from the forest a few kilometres to the nearest town. Additionally, according to the prosecution, the Five were supposed to have done this in order to gain a personal benefit - but not their own, but that of the refugees. The Five's story is part of the wider context of the criminalisation of humanitarian aid, a situation that is getting worse as EU member states tighten their migration policies. We invite you to a meeting with people involved in providing humanitarian aid on the Polish-Belarusian border, who will talk about the context of activity, challenges, needs and the increasing criminalisation of aid and solidarity.
