Kia ora! I'm a high school science teacher, about to enter my 7th year of it. I'm considering trialing Term 1 without computers in the classroom... Have noticed the addiction (let's be honest) to technology, myself included, and am going left-field to see how it goes.

We do a lot of experiments, I show educational YouTube clips, we discuss, we read, we complete worksheets, ask questions, tell jokes, all the good stuff. I don't think we'll be lacking but I guess we'll find out!

For context, we are a BYOD school, and I am yet to run this past SLT or anything. I would love to first hear from fellow teaches and parents of teenagers on whether you think this idea is silly and outdated, or has some merit.
