I have had Covid twice, first in mid-2022, second time in mid-2024. First time was horrendous, I’ve never been so ill.

Second time was so mild I nearly didn’t even think to test - but since then I have just been constantly ill with little colds and bugs, like at least once a month it feels relentless and it’s so different to how I used to be - I used to get sick maybe twice a year. Even a close friend has noticed and commented on how frequently I’ve been ill.

But - I’ve also heard last year was just a really gnarly one for bugs.

I wondered if anyone else had noticed a dip in their immunity post covid or had been getting frequently sick lately but hadn’t had covid.

Not a scientific study ofc but I’m curious to know anecdotally.

****please no deep cut covid stuff in either direction - my take on it is that covid is probably pretty bad for us but we also have to operate in the realities of life, and endless isolating and masking is a pretty huge ask, realistically. No animosity toward whoever gave me covid both times! That’s just life.
