At the state of the nation today, the PM described his vision for a better New Zealand:
"I want our kids to grow up in a country where it is totally normal for them to go and work in a company that puts rockets into space, or a cutting edge health science or agri-tech company. Or that they can create those companies for themselves."
I think it's important that we imagine what a better version of the country would look like, if we want to achieve it. What does your best version of Aotearoa look like? What would have to change?
Edit: Hey this is a really heartening thread! It seems like we (admittedly a very particular demographic) all want a lot of the same things. I wish politicians would spend more time articulating these kinds of goals, rather than the vague and technical ways they intend to achieve them.
