Hi. I am a UK trained GP - currently planning to make the move to NZ to work as a GP. I am initially very excited for this however I have been seeing lots of bad press about current GP situation in NZ i.e. a number of GP surgeries closing down, poor funding from the government, GP crisis etc. Furthermore, based on the news, lots of kiwis actually left the country for better pay/work in addition to other issues e.g. high cost of living, rent, groceries, petrol etc. I would like to know more about the current situation surrounding these as I need to think hard about the move to avoid any future regrets. Thanks.
