The German parliament has strengthened maternity protection for women who have suffered miscarriages. The new regulation would entitle women who miscarry after the 13th week of pregnancy to maternity leave.

This is great news. Is Germany the first country to do this?

I couldn't find some details of this law. How long is the leave, same as if they carried the baby to birth? Are the fathers presently or with the new law entitled to any leave if they ask?
