Most of Ontario didn’t vote for this, but got Doug Ford anyways thanks to winner-take-all first-past-the-post.
We need a citizen’s assembly on electoral reform and to pass their recommendation.

Yup, first-past-the-post strongly pushes two primary parties polarizing politics to just the right and left with no nuance on individual issues. Then both sides end up being corrupt anyways and doing what they want, but no reasonable parties can make their way up the ranks due to strategic voting to avoid the spoiler effect. So the crap just festers.
I'm sure that enough people are mad about this that we could all chip in and have concrete road barriers dropped off in front of the entrance of every one of Ford's private and business properties...
To that criticism, Ford simply says they can find other ways to ride. “It’s not anything against bike people,” he said. “Just go on the secondary roads.”
Wow, I never thought about that before! He's got a brilliant mind.
Next they will start shrinking sidewalks and green spaces to give them back to cars. Cities are for the people that live there. Toronto needs more "for people" focused infrastructure and safer more inviting main streets.
Main streets are for business and shopping. Streets are destination points, not through ways for out of town commuters.
Well said. Toronto has long been too dense for commuters.
