Maybe they're just leaning into the Mastodon theming by talking like cavemen.

It's nice to see more reasonable people abandoning Twitter.
I quit in October 2022 after the incident where Elon Musk showed up at Twitter's offices with a kitchen sink and just carried it around being a douchebag. That was pretty indicative of where the platform was headed.
All these companies Musk is suing over this advertising nonsense should all move to mastodon and be very public about it, while they have this media spotlight on this issue.
After hearing about cancel culture and toxicity on Twitter it made me leave in about 2021.

I noticed Alt-Text is far less popular on lemmy than on mastodon.social, not a fan, but maybe it has to do something with the User-Interface, and how obvious alt-text is made.
It was a recent addition a few weeks/months ago. LW does not support them for instance.
Who gives a shit about tags. Just type it next to the image.
Please take a screenshot if you're going to make a rude comment and post alongside the text.
