What's some good content you don't find in other social media that you wouldn't think twice of sharing?

Mature discussions that don't end up getting censored, unlike Reddit and a certain Italian plumber.

Discussions about a certain LUIGI

Additionally, it’s also nice to not see much of this trend of self-censoring words that make advertisers uncomfortable - it’s one of my least favorite things about modern social media. Words have power, and they should be engaged with, even if they’re uncomfortable.

Sticking asterisks in the middle of words for reasons is galling and frankly, dumb.

A certain Luigi? From Super Mario Brothers?

People openly suggesting we should kill and eat the rich.

Every Sunday we should kill the richest person in the world until the problems go away.

Every hour.

You can find that on Reddit, but now it gets you permanently banned. And that's why after 12 years of reddit I'm here. It's a much nicer place. Currently less conversation, but decent quality.

Yeah same as me. Their permaban setup is fucking ridiculous.

Very detailed piracy instructions with links.

What are some good sharing sublemmies or whatever they’re called here?

I’m not a big fan of dbZero but I guess I can use their instance. Thank you!

Discussions about Lemmy. Reddit will remove comment or link discussing Lemmy

Do you use/browse other fediverse software?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

No, I'm here just to build up a place for conversations

You should be able to find unique OC in some communities that don't rely on Reddit reposts, like [email protected] (classic shameless plug), but I'm sure more communities will make the switch/start organically diverging as they grow.

Heartfelt, mature discussion.
