Huh, that's interesting. What could India's motive be? They aren't one of the countries that spring to mind when I think of "election interference".

Really? Modi is.... pretty fascie...
My guess is that they want ~pp~ in charge so they can keep doing stuff like this with impunity.

India under Modi is trying it's best to crush the Khalistan Movement. A Sikh, Independent Punjab movement.
India has labelled them terrorists and insurrectionists. And the government has been organising assassinations and propaganda campaigns globally.

I'm not informed enough to say either the Indian government or Khalistan Movement is right, probably one of those mostly grey areas. That said, governments throughout the ages have done everything they can to prevent independence movements and new countries forming from what used to be tax payers.
