Just watch it launch on April 1st and turn out to be mid-run ironman saves.

I’m fine with that. That’s how I’d prefer to play anyway. It’s just hard to commit 1-2 hours to completing a run sometimes.

I mean in the way that if you close the game mid-run, it nukes your whole save.

I mean, the game has been out for over a year. They probably kept it the previous way for more challenge / engagement for streamers or something. I'm glad they're introducing it, and will probably reinstall and start playing it again. I'm also glad they're actually trying to release some actual content, even though it's just a variation of the same gameplay. The customization options they offered for runs was good as well, but just wasn't enough to get me hooked again. Hoping this will.
