Trump has never attempted to improve US trade. He is a domestic enemy to the US, and takes every opportunity to weaken us. The goal behind his interference with trade is to piss off our allies and sever the relationships we've established around the globe.

In the end he was voted for democratically
That's the root problem dipshits like Trump are a symptom of: the vast majority of my countrymen are some combination of apathetic, stupid, and/or evil.
They either wanted an enemy of the US to be our president, or were so indifferent to it that they couldn't be bothered to so much as color in a quarter-inch rectangle to stop it.
We're fucked.
Yeah that is a good way of putting it. President Trump is not the real problem, the fact that President Trump is a logical function of American culture is the actual problem.
They wanted an enemy to Democrats. They got one, but didn't stop to realize that he was an enemy of America too.
I really wish this wasn't just a 2 party system.
Ye it's not my preferred flavour of democracy
There are allegations the swing state vote machines were rigged, but there is almost no way to validate those claims. Still, it was quite remarkable that he carried every single swing state. Regardless, he never should have been allowed to run again, imo, and this is in my view a massive failure of the judicial system.
Whether they were rigged or not doesn't matter, but he admitted on live TV that they were. Voter suppression did the work he needed.

Whether they were rigged or not doesnβt matter,
Um..... "it doesn't matter that the very thing used to elect this person wewas rigged to specifically elect this person, you still elected this person"
Think about that for a second and get back to us on the logic behind it.
I'm saying that it wasn't the only method used, and we have the hard numbers on the outcome of the other methods used to rig the election, not that it should be overlooked or not prosecuted. Sorry for the lack of clarity.
Ah, yeah I read that wrong then. My B. Makes more sense now.
Holy shit, that's quite a read. And as it is so systemic, there is very little chance of this changing without dramatic popular unrest.
