Yeah we’re not buying US weapons that come with their own kill switch, apps that need updating, continued trade to keep operational.

I hope we do move away from being reliant on their military materiel but I have my doubts.

They frame it as if we rely on them. Meanwhile they’ve asked us for our help - never the reverse. It’s better if we cut them out so they can’t lie and gaslight us about military coverage. Just cut them out.

Its a good idea to not be reliant on an unstable trade partner. In practice it's going to be really difficult.
