I got banned for calling a guy a "fascist sanewasher" and refusing to post an apology when a mod messaged me to tell me to apologize.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.
That's it.
Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.
Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.
Rule 6- Regarding META posts.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.
If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.
Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.
Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.
Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

I'm not banned, I deleted everything on there like 3 years ago.
I haven't nor plan to... but it's also worst and worst content and behavior so yesterday I request my data take-out.
I'm not sure if I'll just stay logged-out (like right now) or plainly delete my account but either I'm preparing a way out.
Honestly, the only thing Reddit is good for any more is porn. That's mostly what I go there for now. Occasionally something comment worthy will catch my eye and I'll post one but I'd say at this point I use it for porn about 75% of the time. I come here for discourse now. Though there are places here that can be as bad as reddit sometimes. * cough * .ml * cough *
i have been hearing people were being banned again, soon after thier bans ar elifted. it must be thier AI re-banning and not resetting thier filters.
I got banned for saying a woman was a monster. Yes free speech really must be protected by all sides, we can too easily lose it.
No way. I do that all the time, so does most people on Reddit. What is up with peeps on Lemmy always trying to say Reddit is banning shit. I will mention Luigi all the time on Reddit and have never been warned.
they recently backtacked on that recently, and yes they are banning randomly and in much more frequency than normal.
Welcome to lemmy where you get banned for saying you can't dictate American politics based solely on Palestine.
Edit: not sure all the downvotes. That's what they did.
