This was an excellent show, and several people involved in the first season should win an Emmy, including Noah Wyle

Such a good show and I'm only half way through.
It goes by so damn fast. It's just so good.
Just finished the season last night. I’m hoping for a supporting nomination for Shawn Hatosy/Dr Abbott. He was amazing in his scenes, and so different than other roles we’ve seen him in.
I haven't watched it, but as a former emt I can tell you that any show that resembled an actual er would be boring as hell.
Episodes 1 through 5: dealing with 3 sore throats, 4 general malaise, 1 stubbed toe, none of whom needed the er and probably didn't even need a doctor.
Episode 6: an actual emergency!
Episodes 7 through 15: don't even need to film them, just run repeats from the first half of the season.
There’s a bunch of actual ER docs that watch the show and definitely say it’s effectively a “day from hell”. But mostly realistic.
Even inside the show, they present it as “the day from hell”, and talk about that very thing beginning, middle, and end. I think that was the whole point of it.
