I did the classic American thing of getting wildly intoxicated and then ordering Taco Bell, it was the most underwhelming fast food experience I've ever had. Cold, bland, soggy food that I can do better at home with a bag of chips and some minced meat.

I wouldn't recommend it over a good old quarter pounder meal.

@bfg9k the Aussie tradition of a kebab after a night's out is defo superior

Let me guess: it did fine for a few years until everyone had tried it once?

Now I'm torn between wanting to get it once before it closes to see what it is like and just not because apparently it is crap.

I went to Carls Jr once and decided it was a bad Hungry Jacks, never went back.

@Nath never been myself. Never really desired to. Driven past one a few times, but there are only a handful of them in Brisbane, way out in the boonies. I'd rather go to my local GYG.

Glad to see quality win out over trash

We don't talk about Taco Bell.

Taco Bill however is a staple of day drinking mummies and 17 1/2 year olds who want to polish off a whole fishbowl margarita while eating inauthentic TexMex that (while not as good as GyG or any of the independent Mexican restaurants) is much better that Taco Bell.

Just cook it yourself.

A Sydney Mexican etc restaurant is a recipe for disappointment 😔

I went to the one at Albion Park Rail when it opened and it felt like a run-down post-apocalyptic eatery even though it had only been open for two weeks. I've eaten at Taco Bell in the US and can confirm it's every bit a shite.

Taco bell sucks. They always get my order wrong and their food is just bland. I haven’t ordered from them in a long time and don’t intend to again.

Seems more like GYG PR than news.
