First two mistakes were 100% mistakes. Third one was just entering it wrong even though I knew the answer.
I have no idea how meringue fits into its category.

Didn't get it today. These purples are the hardest for me, especially when I just don't know 2 out of the 4.
Blue
I did think of "roar" for a moment, but then I decided that it couldn't be the connection, because Perry says in the song that she roars like a lion. So the only reason she roars is because lions roar. Katy Perry doesn't roar normally. Oh well...

My bad guess was...
..."words with a G not pronounced as a hard G". I couldn't see blue until I eliminated green and yellow. Purple was nowhere on my radar.
I thought blue was a bit contrived.
Also
boa for me is just a snake. Had no idea it's also an uggly piece of apparel.
