And that’s basically it!
I feel like I missed part of the article where it said that the current administration was planning on distributing this medal. What I read was more along the lines of them saying that the current administration is potentially implementing some pronatalist policies and the it describes one policy promoted by a pronatalist group, but nothing about the current administration planning on implementing that specific policy.
Not saying any of this is good and I tend to mentally gloss over parts of text that I read, I'm just earnestly missing where it says that specific policy is one that is being looked into and I would appreciate someone pointing it out to me.
Another coinkidink.
I think of all the oppressive governments, giving this medal must be a near universal thing that separates them from other governments.
Have you heard about the military parade on his birthday?
Ugh, we shouldn't condemn something for being something Nazis did. Hitler liked dogs, doesn't make it wrong.
I don't approve of natalism. Some natalists are driven by white-replacement cringe theory. Some are just inexplicably concerned about population decline. (I still don't understand why.)
Fuck this medal though. It's going to help make people think women are only good for one thing.
population decline is incredibly problematic… demographic crises can literally lead to the collapse of a society in a slow enough manner that it’s kinda difficult for people to see coming unless they know what to look for
i’d highly recommend the recent kurzgesagt video about south korea
The U.S. has/d very high immigration rates, which counters many problems of population decline.
seems like that might reduce pretty damn fast very soon
