I have multiple eggplants in pots inside my screens. They are all flowering, but none are producing actual eggplants. Am I missing something?

Eggplants tend to spontaneously abort their first flowers. Some species do this on their first flowers to attract pollinators. The after a few weeks they will set fruit. Last time I grew eggplants it took 3 weeks from the first bloom until fruit set. That's also the time I found out I was highly allergic to it's sap.

Cucurbits will start male bloom and then abort all of the early female flowers before they open. It's an interesting biochemical mechanism.

I'm at that 3 week mark. Now I won't know if it's this, or the hand pollination....as long as I get fruit I guess

When I grew eggplants, I hand pollinated them using a small paintbrush. You could give that a try.

I keep ladybugs inside. I have others that are throwing their fruit. Like peppers, tomatoes, squash. These are the only ones not actually producing.

You think I should move them outside for a week or so ?

I actually just read that they self pollinate.... Shake the flowers as they have both male and female parts. If I do this daily I should see some fruit production.....let's see if that works

You could always experiment and maybe put one outside and see if it has different results?
