Captured with a Phase One IQ4-150 with the Rodenstock 23mm/5.6 HR Digaron-S. This is a very wide angle lens (the equivalent of about 16mm on a full frame 35mm camera) that makes Alcatraz seem particularly distant. A long exposure averaged out the waves and tufts of mist.
The San Francisco Bay likes to show off its weather. Karl the Fog moves fast. Everything can change very quickly.
I believe this was the last photo I made before the pandemic reduced my travels.

did some driving during pandemic shutdown. empty roads are boring but you have both lanes to yourself.
Damn it, I post a photo of Alcatraz and Trump immediately gets it in his head to re-open the place.
@[email protected] how do you think you would react if Trump genuinely started following you and/or was a fan?
@[email protected] He wants to overhaul it and improve it so that when he gets stuck there, it's comfortable for him.
(If he doesn't die of old age before his term is up. Funny to think he berated Biden for being "too old", yet he's only 3.5 years younger, therefore started his term older than Biden was when his term started, and will end his term older than Biden ended his term.)
