Rumour has it that RBR is interested in him as a replacement for Horner. But that's a long shot for now. If RBR misses out on both titles this season...heads will probably roll. Wouldn't be surprised to see Horner get sacked then.

I still don't understand how he even managed to get back into F1 after being banned for life.
The usual answer is that the FIA hadn't prosecuted him correctly, so Flavio appealed in a French court and won. I didn't study that in details myself though.

Alpine is a shitshow because of its management team. If you listen to Otmar talking about his time there it explains a lot.

At the end of the day he got more races in F1 than most at his level of talent. It sucks for him but F1 is a ruthless business and there are simply too few seats and too many drivers available. No team will have patience for mediocrity.
Or just offset mediocrity adding loads of money.
Or that yeah.
6 races in an Alpine is better than most get, but probably not the f1 experience anyone is dreaming of!
