Why would someone want to play this rather than booting up Stardew again? Not trying to be a jerk, I'm just wondering what it has to offer that hasn't already been done by either Stardew or any other farming game.

Honestly I played fields of mistria which is also just a stardew valley like and I really enjoyed it. Stardew does get kinda boring after 200 hours but still looking for the same vibe just a bit different is normal

Mistria was fun but I can’t agree with the 200 hours, I have probably dumped 2000 hours into Stardew and I’m almost positive I’ll give it more in the future

At the very least, new NPCs to befriend.

I think there are a few differences if I read the article right, even if the overall vibe is the same. And some people like the vibes and idea of Stardew but want to see a different execution, or just really like farming and life sims. Some people like you might find going to a different one too repetitive, some might want more of (mostly) the same but with new dressing or a bit of variation. I tend to fall in the latter group.

Although this game in particular has Mostly Negative reviews.
