Mascara. I personally think my eyes are my best feature. I’m fair so I sometimes pair it with a taupe liner, but I live in casual California so I rarely wear a full face of makeup. Next to be added if anything is eyeshadow.

Also mascara! I think it makes the biggest difference 🤩
Second for me would be concealer.
I've never used taupe! What's the best way to wear it?
I use a pencil because I can’t be bothered with liquid. It’s actually kind of a purple-y taupe because I’m cool toned and wear purples pretty well. I think it might be Urban Decay.
Anyway on me it looks very natural so I can’t speak to how it might work for someone else. Browns look pretty weird on me because they’re usually a lot warmer than my skin tone, and my fair hair is on the brassier side of dirty blonde.
The annabel kohl taupe liner has been my HG taupe for a decade.
If I wear liquid liner, I wear the NYX ash brown eyebrow pen. It's a taupe-y brown and really translucent (since it's meant for eyebrows) so it's not a harsh/dark line.
Good tip, I’m gonna check these out!
Great thanks 😊
Liquid Eyeliner, eye shadow and eyeshadow really helps my face look much more fem. Can't live without them
I've never, ever got the hang of liquid eyeliner so I'm really jealous
It's simple. You have to fuck up sooo many times and eventually you learn it. That or im just very good with my hands 🤭
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl!
I'm in a committed long term relationship with Clarins Everlasting Foundation . It's solid coverage without being heavy, lasts well and stays on for a while. They also do a shade for my pale skin that doesn't make me pasty!
I don't usually wear makeup, but when I do, the one indispensable feature is a coral eye shadow. Other things come and go but I've been using coral and other similar strains of reddish orange eye shadow since I was a teen.
Tinted primer. I bought it with tinted moisturizer just to use during hot summer days, but it made me realize I'm not really into wearing a full face of foundation and now I wear it all the time.
It's great for a natural look and kind of does everything. It color-corrects like concealer, adds emphasis to my cheekbones, fixes the dark rings under my eyes, and covers up the imperfections with my skin.
I usually pair it with eyeliner and mascara and nude lip gloss and it's a nice minimalist look.
Not sure it it counts as makeup but it is cosmetic, so I'm going to mention it anyway.
I can't go without my hair, lash and brow dye.
I lost a lot of pigment from my hair at a young age and have been dying it all (head, brows and lashes) back to my OG dark brown for a very long time now. Without the dye my hair is almost the same shade as my skin, and the complete lack of contrast it has with my face just looks really, really weird.
Dye is also great because living with chronic fatigue issues sucks and at least with dye, I can catch my reflection even on bad days and still see myself in it, as opposed the the undefined beige blob my head would be otherwise.
if I have no time for makeup and I'm rushing, I'll usually throw in a to-go bag:
- 10x magnifying hand mirror
- lash curler
- mascara
- pink-tinted lip balm
- q-tips
- cosmetic sunscreen for the face
I consider those my essentials, though I can get away with just curling my lashes and not using mascara because my lashes are long, thick, and dark-enough generally (mascara does make a big difference, though).
Which cosmetic sunscreen do you use? I need to get one
Depends on the purpose, and I've tried a few.
My personal favorites have been:
- SKIN1004's Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++ - 50ml
- CANMAKE's Mermaid Skin Gel Sunscreen UV SPF50# 01 Clear
I would watch this, though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5p72V3Jrg8
