With the PinePhone beta version being in-stock, this video takes a quick overview for those who are on the fence or just waiting for that shipment email.

I like the uploaders style, and apparently share a lot of stuff about Plasma Mobile looking back at my past posts here.

Hmm, maybe Kube works as an email client on Plasma Mobile? We discussed it previously here.

Looks like Plasma Mobile is starting to catch up with Ubuntu Touch / Lomiri, although I personally don't think it is a very good idea to copy Android so much, as gesture base inputs like on Lomiri or SailfishOS are much superior.

I didnt mind Lomiri or Ubuntu Touch, havent tried Plasma Mobile yet. I think for users coming from Android it's a solid choice, I normally don't like KDE but think it works well here.

I do like Sailfish quite a bit, but havent settled on which OS I'd like to use more. My new device is on order, so I'll see soon enough I suppose.

Very subjective statement

Use it a bit and you will never want to go back :face with tongue:

I used the Jolla Phone with SailfishOS for about 4 years, and although I liked the experience, I honestly don't miss it. I personally am a fan of Plasma Mobile, especially because it copies the UI of Android a bit. It's a good UI (of course, again subjective).

Just got my Pinephone the other day and am having a great time with it. Faster than i expected, but still very slow compared to my 5 years old iphone se. i wish ubports was the official distro as it has, in my opinion, the best most intuitive interface overall.

I really like that you can switch the OS relatively easy - I really want to try to stick with the "official" os so Ive stuck with Manjaro Plasma Mobile so far.

Youre spot on about the speed, Ive been using it for all my social media-esque apps and find it usable but still need a charge at least twice a day. Really impressive all the same though from some of the earlier builds, this year we could see some nice improvements in the software.
