Yes, this is undeniably true. Then we decided to be better. What even is the point of this "criticism"?

Do you think it was an accident that the British Empire ruled the world? Do you think the British just found an empire lying on the side of the road and dusted it off and said "Oh that's nice, we'll take that". Britain was a warmonger, and they beat the shit out of the entire world. Straight up fucking merciless, the Brits. Would you like that time to come again? Keep pressing your luck and maybe we'll have to arrange it.

Europe only stopped colonizing and oppressing the entire world because they got bored of it. You didn't win, you didn't beat them. They are just lazy. Now you have made them get up off their ass. And they don't like that. You are fucking with the wrong group of psychopaths and murderers, bro.

Yes I think you found an empire lying on the side of the road, dusted it off and said "oh that's nice, we'll take that." That's the entire point of the ~~royal~~ British museum!

Fair point, but those were different empires, older ones. Obviously we did take them too and you're right, that's what the British Museum is for! The British Empire, though, we made that ourselves. With violence.
