Hi there! Moi!

Tried uploading a JPEG avatar and seem to be getting this error: Request error: error sending request for url (http://localhost:8080/image): error trying to connect: tcp connect error: Address not available (os error 99)

Is this intentional or a bug? Seems some users on the instance have avatars while many don't.

Looks like there is a problem with pictrs again, a known one. I restarted Sopuli, let's see if it disappears. Looks like avatars here show like usual, but on instances that federate with us, our avatars are not showing.

Seems it's still throwing the same error 400 for the POST request when I'm trying to upload an avatar through the profile page.

Dang it! I'll get to it later.

No hurry! Constant issues with technology are such a mood. :D

Try reducing the resolution on your jpeg. I couldn't upload anything till I took down to 600x800.

I'm having the same issue. My jpeg is smaller than the 600x800 and I'm still getting errors. I just did a search on Lemmy and found several posts from the last 24 hours all with this issue.

I waited a few hours. Then when I tried it again just now, it worked!
