Can't log in on the app (lemmy.ml)

I tried to log in on the Lemmur app, but it just wouldn't proceed (infinite loading). Lately I had similar problem with the Element app - when I joined some groups it just endlessly loaded and wouldn't join them unless I restarted the app

Does anyone know how to fix it?

You seem to be using version 0.7.0 (thats currently availably from f-droid, for example). There was a breaking change in the server, so you need to get 0.8.0 (e.g. from the Play Store) to connect to the server.

Wow so that was it !!! Thanks I installed lemur tried to login but I couldn't ... Is there any other way to get an updated version ? I don't have Google services

It was released yesterday, so within a week it should be on fdroid as well :)

I downloaded it through Aurora Store - it doesn't require Google Services. Check it out
